Why Join Fayette County School Employees Credit Union?
Unlike other types of financial institutions which need to generate profits to satisfy stockholders, Fayette County School Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. We return excess earnings to our members in the following forms:
- Low Interest Loans
- High-Yield Savings and Investments Accounts
- Money-Saving, Convenient Financial Products and Services
You Own the Credit Union
Your credit union is not a bank, a labor union, a loan company or a credit bureau. It is democratically-run and owned by its member shareholders. Members form a pool of money through savings which is loaned only to members at reasonable rates. After operating expenses are paid and required reserves set aside, the earnings are distributed as dividends on savings to members.
At Fayette County School Employees Credit Union, you are a member-owner, not merely a customer known only by an account number.
